Imperfectly by Anna is a makeup artist, hair and fashion stylist. She provides makeup, hair and styling services. With over 10 years spent working with visual arts, design, fashion and beauty her work showcases a certain artistic touch and her love for aesthetics.
OUR role
We were responsible for the full digital experience of Imperfectly by Anna, from crafting the brand’s visual identity to designing and developing the website. We focused on translating Anna’s unique aesthetic into a refined, functional, and elegant online presence.
Design
Designing Imperfectly by Anna was an intuitive and creatively rewarding experience. With a strong visual foundation already in place, the direction for the new identity came naturally. I aimed to reflect Anna’s “perfectly imperfect” philosophy through a soft, elegant layout — blending asymmetry, texture, and generous white space with a muted, warm palette and editorial typography.
The user journey was crafted to feel seamless and personal, guiding clients gracefully through her services and portfolio. This project was a reminder of how smooth and inspiring the process can be when the brand voice is clear and the vision is shared.
Development
From a development perspective, the Imperfectly by Anna website was smooth and enjoyable to build. The design was thoughtfully prepared and easy to implement, which made the translation into a responsive, high-performance site seamless. I focused on subtle details like transitions, image loading, and scroll behavior to reflect the brand’s elegance. With best practices in place -from lazy loading to optimized structure - the result is a clean, efficient, and future-friendly site that supports Anna’s growing portfolio. Simplicity served the project well, allowing the visual identity to shine.
